Ice Storm 2009
One thing I like about Oklahoma is the winter. Today we were out in shorts and t-shirts, flip flops, no problem riding scooters. Last week, the kids were out of school for three days to play outside in this....
After a nice cup of hot cocoa they wanted out the door asap. This picture was taken before most of it fell. Notice the ground in this picture is right outside our front door. (That is David in the background re-discovering the white stuff) Unfortunately, because it was an ice storm, it was falling as ice instead of snow, which makes it very hard to ball up and throw at someone. (unfortunately)
This is David and his best friend Alex with pink cheeks and noses. :)
Now this is our front door after it was all said and done. That yellow thing is a tractor left outside from the morning that got buried in ice. This patch of ice didn't completely melt until exactly one week and a day later bacause it faces north and is shaded most of the day.
It sure was pretty on our front yard tree.
The kids took Zoee for a walk in the ice (notice her long fur).
