We celebrated David's birthday starting on Friday with a bunch of his friends at a Cars/pirate birthday party. He wanted Cars decor with a pirate pinata and goodie bags. He had a lot of fun! Whenever David sees a lit candle he sings himself happy birthday and then blows it out. Since it was finally his real birthday, we decided to extend this birthday celebration to 3 days and let him blow out his candles Friday, Saturday and Sunday (which was his real birthday).
On Thursday night before his birthday party David and I were in the ER getting x-rays to make sure his right arm wasn't broken. Luckily it was only sprained and so maybe you can see in the pictures that David is not using his arm which made it difficult to open presents and hit the pinata. He didn't let it stop him from anything, and thankfully, by Saturday afternoon he was back to climbing the tree in our front yard.
